Soil permeability
The permeability of the soil is dependent on the soil type and grain size. It plays an essential role in the dimensioning of an infiltration system. While sand and gravel have very high permeability values, infiltration in cohesive soils (e. g. silt or clay) is not possible. The better the soil permeability, the smaller the required infiltration system.
