Graf fully in step with the trend - with its environmental products

After (as recently as early 2007) the newly built plant for Otto Graf GmbH was completed in Teningen, construction cranes dominate the landscape at the European market leader’s rainwater-utilisation plant. At the time, on a building with a total area of 13,500 m², the urgently needed space for the production and logistics divisions was built. Now, the company’s production space is being expanded by another 6,000 m². As early as the construction phase, the new building dominates the company’s new presence toward the Autobahn A5 – with a height of up to 25 m. The investment volume amounts to
8 mil. Euros.

The additional expansion of the production capacity shortly after the new construction of the plant itself became a necessity due to the company’s enormous growth. To be exact, Graf’s sales numbers grew by double digits for the tenth year in a row. Demand - especially from abroad - for Graf products has increased significantly. The new products which have been produced in the new plant since 2007 are fully in keeping with the current trend. Meanwhile, in nearly all EU countries, Graf has gained additional distributors due to the strong response. Even beyond Europe’s borders, there are already increases to be marked up. Even now, Graf generates nearly 30% of its sales abroad.

Meanwhile, it is beyond doubt that Graf will create the guaranteed 100 jobs one year ahead of schedule. In this area alone, since 2005, the work force has increased by 89 employees. The company’s current trading area extends from the Ortenau region to the region south of Freiburg.

The Graf branch office in Dachstein (Alsace) can mark up for itself another 25 new hires within the same time period. Meanwhile, at both branch offices, there is a total of 255 employees - 114 more than in early 2005. In France (parallel to the Teningen construction project), an urgently needed administration building is currently under construction.

Graf will initiate production in the new halls as early as May, and is firmly convinced of a continuation of the rampant growth of the company.  In other words, a solid foundation for the creation of more jobs – 30 new jobs are projected for 2008.
